Halloween Doodle Town

   Hey, friends!!!  Lots happening over here - Homecoming weekend followed by a trip to Waco for State XC yesterday and some things I'm trying to catch up on at home  ;) That said, my regularly scheduled post isn't happening tonight so I'm resharing one of my most popular posts ever... Halloween Doodle Towns!

Print them for your kiddos to color, staple them into a book format and have your kids write a story and use them as the illustration, print a set for yourself to color while you watch TV, make a stack of them for the littles to color post-trick-or-treating while you sort through their candy, etc.  

Weekend Recap: Homecoming Edition

 WHAT A WHIRLWIND OF A WEEKEND! Homecoming has been greatly-anticipated over here and I (kind of) can't believe it's come and gone ;) 

The fun started on Thursday night when we had our school-wide tailgate event where the high schoolers exchange mums/garters, varsity sports do a little dance thing, cheer performs, the lil' stangs sports teams are announced, etc.  

I CAN NOT believe that these kids are juniors!

Y'all know what this means - it's Homecoming week which means lots of my FAVORITE things ;) Starting with G's little mum that we add to yearly - it's looking super full and fun and I can't believe she only has one more year wearing it!

Creamy Italian Sausage and Potato Soup

I made this soup a couple of weekends ago and it was an instant favorite.  It almost tastes cheesy but it actually doesn't have any cheese in it.  The flavor is SO GOOD and it's creamy but not overly thick.  I've been making lots of soups in an effort to bring on Fall and so far it hasn't been working but the soups have been delish ;)

Nostalgic Movies - Part ONE

 I'm sorry - but they just don't make movies like they used to.  I said what I said and I stand by it!  We have always loved watching "nostalgic" movies with our kids and this weekend Griffin and I watched My Girl and had me thinking that this would make such a great blog topic.  I'm going to share ten of our tried and true favorites today and then some suggestions over the next couple of weeks.

It's just the best.  I can't say it enough.

Well. It's been a quite week around here which is JUST what I needed.  While a theme day is my FAVORITE I was pretty excited to not have to wash glitter off my face this week ;)

Sheet Pan Pesto Chicken & Potatoes

 I saw this on Instagram and have made it the last three weeks in a row.  It's so easy and the flavors are CRAZY GOOD. 

Weekend Highlights...

Whew! I'm back from a CRAZY week that ended in report cards being due on Sunday night ;) A perfect storm some might say! ha!

Better late than never, here are some weekend highlights! First up - we hosted a diaper drive last week and gave House points for every diaper brought in and YOU GUYS my middle schoolers brought in just under FOURTEEN THOUSAND diapers for Hope Women's Center. My whole post could just be this picture...
